Packard Hewlett or Packard Bell

Can i use a Dell back-up CD with windows XP pro. sp3 for my Packard Hewlett (or Packard Bell)?
OK, i had a Dell back-up CD from my old PC (xp pro sp3). Now, since i hate vista, i would like switching back to XP. Can i use that CD to install windows xp on my new Packard Hewlett (or Packard bell) computer? I need it fast because i need to start doing work and installing stuff, so it would be really convenient if the answer was soon. Thanks alot.

No way. That disc is made for the Dell only. Learn how to tweak Vista. It is far superior than XP. Go here but I would not do number 3 or 7. http://mostlysavingmoney.com/top-10-windows-vista-speed-tweaks/

Back up CDs are set up for the machine it came with. Drivers will be different and it may have been modified by the vendor (Dell, Packard Bell, etc.) Most of the time it will not install because it searches for a specific hardware key to let it know it is on the correct type of machine. If it is a Retail or full version of XP you would be OK... as long as you have the product code to enter and you would still need to update the drivers. Dell CDs are not interchangeable with other systems.
