That is what it does when it is being used on battery power, it does this to save battery. You can easily fix this.Turn the brightness up by usually pressing the fn button + the f8 button.Or, if you are using vista, click on the battery in the Taskbar, and click the high performance button. It should make your screen turn up. If these do not resolve it, call HP, becuase there could be something wrong with your screen. Hope this Helps!

Hewlett Packard Notebook
Where can i buy refurbished Hewlett Packard notebook?
Like to buy refurbished Hewlett Packard notebook. Ideally, the notebook should be less than 2 years old and still in good condition with another few years to go. Also, is there a site that offers this in bulk and does HP itself sell and deal with refurbished HP notebook?

www.hp.com they have a store on there web site were you can buy new and refurbished computers. You will find that they also give a warranty with the refurbished computer that you buy. You can also buy new and customize it to what you want exactly in it. It might even be cheaper to buy a new one. They also have there own financing there if you need it.

Have you tried visiting Amazon.com. Well amazon.com offers awide range selection of electronic items and if you really wants refurbished stuff.... you can check with their other seller. For more information you can visit their help pages to find more information on placing an order from the seller. Good luck!

I buy all my computers directly from the HP Outlet. You can go to their online listing at http://www.hp.com/sbso/buspurchase_refurbished.html . I always purchased over the phone. These products are high quality and sometimes they aren't even refurbished--they just produced too many of them! Their prices are pretty good and you might be able to get a discount if you order in bulk and ask them on the phone.

2 :
Check on the bottom/ back for screws.
3 :
have a look at the users manual on how to install new hardware, (memory) it will show you how to open the case, if you have not got a users manual then download it from HP's customers website, check out the web link below for your user manual. click on the link.

What is the font used in Hewlett Packard ads?
What is the font used in Hewlett Packard ads and on the cover of a Jonathan Safran Foer book?
Does anyone have a clue what font was used on the cover of "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer? It was also used in many ads for Hewlett Packard (in way too similar way to J.S.F.'s book cover). Please help a girl out if you can. Thank you.

Hi! I don't know which Hewlett-Packard ads you mean, but the book cover was hand drawn by a designer named Jon Gray. Which ads are you referring to? Here's an interview with Gray and some of his other covers... he's terrific! http://covers.fwis.com/everything_is_illuminated *****EDIT: I think you mean these: http://www.hp.com/personalagain/us/en/index.html?product=vrcp I couldn't find the exact one (there are so many.. you can search through 'comic' caegories for more) but these are similar. Oh.. the writing on the 'hand' has been enhanced by drawing if you look at repeating letters as their size and character varies (the 'u,' the 'r,' etc). http://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/Fontdinerdotcom_Loungy.htm http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/scriptorium/candlemas/ http://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/Cat_Krap!.htm http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/imageclub/whimsy/ Hope this helped!

Hewlett Packard Digital Camera
How can I fix the battery door on my Hewlett Packard digital camera?
I have a Hewlett Packard Photosmart hp 315 digital camera, and the trap door for the batteries is broken. The catch that would keep the door shut seems chipped off, so i have to keep the door shut with my thumb, or the batteries come spilling out. Is there a way to fix this? Howe much will repairs cost me? The camera itself works fine, just the battery door is busted..

see if you can buy the battery door part separately. if not then I would suggest some gaffer tape. and just tape it shut.

The discs should be enough, there should be a sticker on your case that should have all the authentication codes you would need.
2 :
just the discs and the key should be on a sticker on the back. choose NTFS when asked. FAT32 is outdated and slow. good luck with your 1st reformat!
3 :
no you dont need no code all you do is put the disc in the computer and restart it once you do that you should see in your screen press any key to booto from cd and thats all the recovery disc is going to give you instructions in how to do it if you have any more questions you can visit there website and chat to one of there agents for free just look for contact hp in the left side of the page and youll be chating to the hp agent who im sure can help you with this question and any other that you might have heres the link www.hp.com/support i hope this was helpful feel free to write me at changito_tuyo@yahoo.com Good luck ADIOS
